Application for MC Authority/ ICC Authority/ DOT Authority/ Operating Authority/ Trucking Authority/ Interstate Authority to cross state lines

Most interstate loads that are picked up in one state, transported across state lines, and delivered in another state require authority from the Federal Govenment in Washington, often refered to as MC Authority / DOT Authority / ICC Authority / Trucking Authority / Interstate Authority or Operating Authority. Key in on one of these authority names for details on the process required to get authority.

DOT New Entrant Safety Audit: Once authority has been granted, the DOT requires you to take the New Entrant Safety Audit. 50% of all authority applicants fail the New Entrant Safety Audit. That means you could lose your authority if you fail. We can help you pass this DOT audit.

Additional help with your trucking operation:

The application for Authortiy requires proof of liability insurance. Once your Authority has been granted, you will need a good broker for loads. Once you start hauling loads, consider a factoring company to pay you very quickly once the loads are delivered. You won't have to wait 3 or 4 weeks to get your money after each load is delivered. Would you like the help of a dispatcher to arrange for loads to keep you rolling? You pick up and deliver a load. With a dispatcher, there is a good chance a load is waiting for you to pick up and take back. Just keep rolling!

We can get an EIN/ Federal ID number and file the annual 2290 Federal Highway Use Tax on your truck.  The 2290 Federal Highway Use Tax requires filing to be done at the IRS with an EIN/ Federal Identification Number. We can apply for this EIN number for you and file your annual 2290 Federal Highway Use Tax with the IRS (the IRS now requires you to set up an appointment to go in and file the 2290 tax with them).

Need help in filing Quarterly IFTA fuel taxes?

If you have an IRP license plate/ FRP license plate/ Apportioned license plate, you will also need IFTA fuel stickers and be required to do quarterly IFTA fuel tax filings with the state. We can file your quarterly IFTA fuel taxes for you.

Register a Corporate name, or an LLC name with the Secretary of State. If the name is available with the Secretary of State, we should be able to register this name for you. You will need an EIN/ Federal Identification Number for the name as the EIN legally separates the business name you choose from your personal name. We can also apply for an EIN number.
